To me, “wellness” means:
Feeling like I can exhale. Even when there’s a lot to carry, I can still find moments of calm and clarity - moments where my brain stops buzzing and I feel steady enough to keep moving.
One misconception about mental health is:
That it’s all about individual willpower. In reality, our wellness is shaped by the systems we live in - like access to resources, safety, and community. We’re up against more than just our coping skills.
I draw inspiration from:
The strong women in my life who have taught me what resilience, community, and unconditional love look like.
I stay well by:
Listening to my mind and body. If they feel out of balance, I get outside for a run, take a long bath, spend time with people I love, and take a break from my phone.
Right now I’m reading:
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. I love a good memoir.
I value when clients:
Show up as their authentic selves. They say they’re scared if they’re scared. They say they’re nervous if they’re nervous. It takes a lot of courage to show up as ourselves.

About Erika
Do you ever feel like you’re just getting through the day? Stuck in self-criticism, grief, loneliness, or challenging relationships? Now more than ever, so many of us are feeling unsure how to move forward after loss, heartbreak, or years of putting everyone else first. I’m Erika, a registered social worker and psychotherapist offering therapy for adults and young adults hoping to find more balance, self-compassion, and connection in their daily lives. I know that starting therapy can be hard, but I'm hopeful we'll help you move from just coping to finally feeling lighter.
In our work together, we start by building a sense of safety and trust, because meaningful change begins in relationship. From there, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, using experiential and somatic techniques grounded in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). We’ll gently explore where your stuck emotions come from and what you need to begin living a life that feels more authentic to you.
My approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and rooted in the understanding that your lived experiences are informed by social structures. I offer an affirming, compassionate, and inclusive space, and would be honoured to support you in taking that first step toward feeling more like you again. If you're curious about working together, book online for a free 15-minute consultation. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
