  • To me, “wellness” means:
Feeling like I can exhale. Even when there’s a lot to carry, I can still find moments of calm and clarity - moments where my brain stops buzzing and I feel steady enough to keep moving.

One misconception about mental health is:
That it’s all about individual willpower. In reality, our wellness is shaped by the systems we live in - like access to resources, safety, and community. We’re up against more than just our coping skills.

    I draw inspiration from:
The strong women in my life who have taught me what resilience, community, and unconditional love look like.

    I stay well by:
Listening to my mind and body. If they feel out of balance, I get outside for a run, take a long bath, spend time with people I love, and take a break from my phone.

    Right now I’m reading:
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. I love a good memoir.

    I value when clients:
Show up as their authentic selves. They say they’re scared if they’re scared. They say they’re nervous if they’re nervous. It takes a lot of courage to show up as ourselves.

About Erika

Even when our thoughts don’t feel clouded by the past, our bodies tend to remind us of all we carry. The tightness in our chest or the tremble in our voice can tell us a lot about the journey that brought us here. Together, we’ll gently explore the parts of your journey that may have left you feeling stuck - stuck in fear, in loneliness, in shame, in grief. By holding space for these parts to be seen, felt, and held, we can begin to step into meaning-making and healing.

Together, we’ll create a space that honours the historical, systemic, and relational experiences that inform your path to therapy. My practice is rooted in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), through a lens that is anti-oppressive, intersectional, and affirming of your whole self. By listening closely to your emotional and somatic experience, we’ll (re)connect with your inherent power. Even if that power feels lost right now, we’ll discover how it’s been with you all along.
